Behind it is the newly constructed Flinn Building, which replaced La Placita Village, which was the City’s answer to leveling “La Calle” that left about 300 residences destroyed and 900 people, primarily of Mexican, Indigenous, Chinese, and African American descent, displaced in the 1960s.
